Offered here is a very old antique/vintage Handmade Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace. This necklace measures 23 in total length. The necklace is set with 17 Very Large gem quality Turquoise stones. The largest stone measures approx. 1 1/8″ by 7/8″. The Naja on this necklace measures a very large 4 1/4″ in height by 4 3/8″ wide. The stones are each bezel set in handcrafted silver mounts with a rope twist bordering each stone. All of the Sterling Beads are also handmade bench beads and measure a little over 1/4 in diameter. The necklace has not been cleaned or polished in years and retains the original darkened patina. The necklace is strung on a twisted wire and closes with a large hook and eye. Please note there is one missing blossom. The construction is rather primitive as to be expected from a necklace this old. This necklace weighs a hefty 200 grams.
