This stunning Native American handmade natural Green Carico Lake turquoise and Sterling silver bracelet was created by a Navajo, Dine’, master craftsman. The highlight of this piece is the lovely large (7/8″ x 5/8″) and highly sought after Carico Lake turquoise stone. This turquoise alone would make this bracelet highly desirable, but I would be remiss if I did not describe the skilled silver work evident in this piece. Three silver discs decorated with twisted silver wire, chisel, and stamp work and embellished with deep repousse’ are applied to three heavy triangular silver wires forming the shank of the outstanding bracelet. There is an area on the back that looks like the bracelet may have been repaired but given the location and wear, we don’t believe it was ever damaged. Perhaps the Silversmith ran short of the triangle wire and needed to add more but no matter the reason, it is completely solid, well worn and has no negative effect on the beauty or the value of this piece. We just finished showing at many of the Native American art shows here in Santa Fe one of which focusses on the sale of turquoise. Some of the prices on the more desirable Turquoise have GONE THROUGH THE ROOF!
