On offer is an authentic, classic vintage NAVAJO STERLING SILVER ring that is adorned with a beautiful natural hand-cut and polished rectangle shaped cabochon KINGMAN ARIZONA TURQUOISE stone, on a fancy scalloped plaque with raindrop beads, hand stamping and silver rope. The ring is hallmarked with what appears to be BB for the artist maker. It is not marked for silver content which was common in Native American silver work prior to the 1970’s. It tested positive for Sterling Silver. We believe it was created circa 1960’s. This ring was skillfully crafted with attention to detail in the traditional NAVAJO technique and is in very good vintage condition (see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The hand-cut and polished rectangle shaped cabochon KINGMAN TURQUOISE stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and is firmly and securely set in a plain silver bezel. The KINGMAN TURQUOISE measures approx. 9/16″ long x 3/8″ wide. The plaque measures approx 7/8″ long x 3/4″ wide; the triple split ring band measures approx 5/8″ tapering to 3/16″ wide. This ring will fit approx. Size 8.5 and weighs 8.6 grams. This classic vintage NAVAJO STERLING SILVER and natural KINGMAN TURQUOISE ring, crafted by a skilled artisan, would make an outstanding addition to any Twentieth Century Native American NAVAJO Sterling Silver and Stone Jewelry, Western American TURQUOISE, or Historic American Cultural Arts and Crafts collection. We have been involved in the design and creation of contemporary jewelry at the undergraduate and post graduate level since 1967. In 1975 we opened a gallery of hand wrought fine art contemporary jewels and have since handled thousands of unique, one of a kind and limited edition pieces crafted predominantly by American artisans with a special emphasis on Native American Art. Will be determined upon request. We believe our photos and description to be an accurate testament. Thus, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. However, mistakes do happen. Thanks for looking and good luck.
