Offered in this sale is a vintage native American sterling silver turquoise squash blossom necklace that was bought in the Southwest in the mid 1900s and has been in the same family since. I believe it dates to the 1950s. It is signed by the artist on the back, however, the scripted signature is not clear to my eye. I believe it could be H. BOWEKATY (see 2nd image). It is DEFINITELY and old one. I have added two images which include a tape measure for perspective purposes. As it happens the cost of silver has risen more than 20% in one month. The piece measures roughly 22 1/2 long end to end. The blossoms graduate in size from roughly 1 3/4″ long to 2 1/4″ long. The “naja” measures roughly 3 5/8″ across x 3 1/4″ tall. The condition is very good. There does not seem to be any damage. Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and the condition. I always guarantee everything I sell to be as described. I also have listed a selection of vintage and antique Chinese and Japanese ceramics porcelain and accessories, Herend porcelain, an antique Paris porcelain cachepot, a collection of world stamps and covers from the British Colonies, The People’s Republic of China, Vietnam and United States along with an eclectic selection of antique to contemporary American, English, Continental and Asian smalls including art glass, cut glass, pottery and porcelain.
