This stunning piece will be an excellent addition to your collection. This gorgeous one of a kind Native American Old Pawn cuff was made by KW prior to the 1960s. This bracelet combines a silver thunderbird overlay on a wide cuff with a turquoise cabochon. This is a very large piece of Number Eight spiderweb turquoise and contains a beautiful inclusion or “chunk” of dark stone. The cabochon is surrounded by a silver rattlesnake protecting a nest of eggs. Just as the thunderbird is a symbol of power, protection, and strength; the rattlesnake on the nest of eggs symbolizes that the wearer is a protector and should not to be trifled with. I know this piece is worth more than my asking price. The reason for this price is that at some point there was an amateur repair made where the rattlesnake became detached and was reattached with glue instead of silver soldering as it should have been. This repair does not seem to have damaged the piece and isn’t super obvious at first glance. You may not even seek to have it repaired if it doesn’t bother you. This should be an easy and affordable repair from any decent silversmith. Therefore I have lowered the price to reflect the expense of taking it to a professional silversmith to have the piece cleaned up and reattached properly.
