VERY OLD PAWN BISBEE TURQUOISE & STERLING SILVER BRACELET-HUGE!! I have owned this bracelet for over 40 years and have worn it only a few times. There are NO cracks or breaks in the stone itself, there are several dark tiny matrix lines that run through this stone that look like cracks but are not. There is beautiful stamping on the sides and tips of the bracelet itself. 3 1/2″ long by 3″ wide. There is a hole in the silver… Not sure if it supposed to be there or not. It is located in the far right corner in picture 1. There is a small crush to the silver outside the stone on the left hand corner of the stone. Neither distract from the bracelet at all. After extensive searches I believe this stone to be Bisbee Turquoise. Bisbee turquoise was originally discovered in the 1950s while workers were open pit mining for copper. The Bisbee turquoise mine is one of the few most famous turquoise mines in Arizona. Bisbee is known for the outstanding variety of copper-based minerals and the specimens that have been found in the mine. Some examples of the specimens that were collected are cuprite, aragonite, wulfenite, malachite, azurite, and galena. Thank you for viewing this beautiful bracelet.
