This beautiful Kingman turquoise is gorgeous. TByrd designed the roped cut stamped bezel for this ring. Navajo Avin Joe made that design happen. It is a lovely ring. The stone is truly beautiful, touched with matrix. This quality of stone is hard to find anymore. Mined in the 1970’s in Kingman, its quality is lovely. The Kingman Copper mine (Mineral Park) has been around since about 1880’s. The turquoise rock that was brought out of the mine in the 1970’s and 1980’s has been considered some of the best quality turquoise and the thought was that this would be the way the rock was always going to be. So much of this really great rock was not put aside as special. In comparison, today’s rock mined at Kingman is quite mediocre. Truly a treazure for generations to come! Be aware that there may be a minimal difference between the hues you see here and the item you receive. This is due to many light variables including equipment used to take the photos for this listing, monitor color settings, the reflection of the sterling silver, and the settings on the viewing monitor or device.
