This is a dainty but well designed Naja pendant. It may have been made for a child, but as likely for a woman who wants to wear a small piece of Navajo jewelry between powwows or other occasions for the spectacular pieces. Small bail suitable for a silver chain. Beautiful small oval turquoise set in a sawtooth bezel hangs in the center. Unmarked as far as I can tell – I do not interpret the file marks, etc, or the evidence of hand-poured casting as marks. There is a number 8 scratched on the back of the turquoise dangle, but I do not know its significance. Obviously hand cast and hand made. A beautiful, dainty pendant.
