Army, Tony was impressed by the beauty of heavy, ornate Middle Eastern jewelry and, on his return home, blended that elegant influence into his own innovative traditional Santo Domingo jewelry design. Though this amazingly beautiful necklace shows strong Native American origins, it bears subtle hints of that beautiful exotic influence. Every element of this necklace is a strong focal point, yet they blend seamlessly into one amazingly beautiful statement. A long graduated length of vivid natural coral stones, interspersed with large hand stamped cylindrical barrel beads, supports a sculpted dimensional butterfly of heavy grade sterling silver, hand stamped and adorned with a bright clear blue natural turquoise stone. Beautiful handmade silver cones are an integral part of the design and are signed by the artist with a conjoined TA. Sturdy handmade traditional silver hook and eye closure. Both butterfly and cone ends test sterling silver (925). Stamped barrel beads test coin silver(900). Excellent condition with no issues. Patina has not been touched.
