A magnificent Navajo necklace of petit point turquoise and heavy sterling silver made by Paul M. Begay learned his skills from local Zuni artists and has won many awards for his traditionally made jewelry using only natural turquoise and sterling silver. This one of a kind piece weighs 154 grams and is signed “Navajo” and P. Begay on back of medallion. Medallion is 3-1/2″ wide, is extended from a 1-1/2″ square turquoise framed in braided sterling with petit point shoulders and beaded turquoise square links. It has a hook clasp, length is 24″ and the additional 3-1/2″ medallion extends it to 27, which can be shorted by hook clasp. Condition is excellent, craftsmanship is superb. The item “P. M.
