This listing features a vintage Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace handcrafted from Sterling Silver and Turquoise. NOTE: Please view all 24 photos. Last 4 photos model necklace on a 5’8 tall, size 4 mannequin. This vintage Navajo necklace was handcrafted by a skilled Silversmith during the later-mid century. It features a classic squash design with smooth high polished Turquoise set in sterling silver. It’s beautifully crafted and weighs in at an ideal 200 grams. The stones portray dense sky blue color hues with thick black matrix mixed with hazy white matrix. One stone even has a speck of shimmery gold pyrite. I’m not positive but, with my experience I’d venture to say they’re Kingman stones. The Naja has a classic design being made with 2 heavy duty shanks while the blossoms carry triple fluted petals, all of which are in great condition. The silver is a strong heavier gauge adding to the weight and durability of this piece. The pearls are strung on a sturdy silver wire with the original hook and eye clasp at each end. There is no sterling stamp or signature which is common for vintage Navajo jewelry. The silver was tested and we guarantee it’s purity of. This beautiful squash will be a new favorite for any vintage collection. It’s the perfect size, not overly large and gaudy but, definitely large enough to make a statement and be seen! It lays perfectly over the chest (not crooked like so many vintage squash’s), and the turquoise is breathtaking! Wear with pride and enjoy! Weight – 200.5 Grams. Length – The length measures 24 from end to end. Naja Measurements – The Naja measures just a hair under 3-3/4″ wide by 3-1/2″ tall. Blossom Measurements – The 10 blossoms slightly taper in size from 1-3/4″ long to 1-1/2″ long – & – 1-1/4″ wide to 1″ wide. Pearl Measurements – The pearls measure approximately 8 millimeters wide (about 5/16). Stamped Sterling – NO, tested and verified. 925 sterling silver guaranteed. Signed by Artist – NO. Later-Mid Century, 1970’s +. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with all of its original stones and a slight patina, ready to wear or display.
