On offer is an authentic, large handsome vintage NAVAJO hand wrought. 925 Sterling Silver BUCKLE adorned with a cluster of ten (10) large natural turquoise rough nugget cut stones, big silver raindrops and silver rope surrounded by a hand-filed frame. The brilliant southwestern sky blue turquoise is characteristic of material from the Morenci, AZ mine region. This outstanding NAVAJO BUCKLE is hallmarked STERLING and with the signature of TOMMY MOORE for artist maker. It tested positive for Sterling. We believe this BUCKLE was created circa 1990. This fine Navajo Buckle was expertly and skillfully executed with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The buckle’s hook and loop are sturdy and in good working order. The ten (10) turquoise stones are all in very good condition with no chips or cracks and are securely and firmly set in serrated silver bezels on an oxidized blackened ground decorated with Sterling raindrop beads. The stones measure from approx. 1/2″ long x 1/4″ wide to 1/2″ wide x 9/16″ long. Overall, this large Sterling Silver and Morenci Turquoise NAVAJO BUCKLE measures approx. 2 3/16″ long x 2 1/4″ wide. It will fit a belt that is approx 1 1/2 wide and weighs a very hefty 50.6 grams – 1.625 ounces TOTAL.
