Tested by a jeweler as. Exceptional quality hand-cut turquoise cabochons (petit point) beautifully set into sterling silver bezels. The “Naja” or “crescent” is 2-1/8″ long & 2″ wide. There are twelve matching squash blossoms, six on each side of the necklace. They are each approximately 1-1/4″ long & 5/8″ wide. They are set into unique silver settings representing the squash blossom with each having 3 silver, slightly flared tails. The squash blossom settings are meticulously placed between two strands of silver beads, with a very distinct backing, not seen in modern jewelry. Between each squash blossom are two strands of hand-made silver round beads, still strung with the ORIGINAL string! A “fish hook” style metal clasp and two metal jump-rings are still tied securely at each end of the string. All parts are secure. There are no missing stones or beads. There are no repairs or broken pieces. End to end the necklace is 22 long. From hook to end of Naja, it is 12-1/2. The total weight of the necklace is 3oz. Please note: The Sterling stamp on Native American jewelry was not marked until the 1940’s. Also, there were typically no artist hallmarks on jewelry at that time.
