The turquoise and sterling silver medallion are a superb representation of the Navajo Jewelry Art and Tradition… The Chavez have been making jewelry for decades and decades. Their jewelry is INIMITABLE. The medallion is 4″ wide/high and 2 3/4″ long. It is a sumptuous profound composition of turquoise. All around a rose and feathers glowing from the depth of these intense stones. There is this huge turquoise, 2.5 long, with the most incredible colors. It is a stone which engulfs you in its strong stream. A strong current of golden tan, of bronze going through the deep sea with this intense blue green, teal color. There is a feel of powerful life and strength coming from the stone… Then the calm, the aftermath, with the teal turquoise like a petal… The medallion is a wonderful beaming turquoise piece you cannot get your eyes away from.. The color combination – blue, green, tan and silver – and the combination of materials – natural stone, polished sterling and brut leather- make for an OUTSTANDING piece. The leather band is IDEAL for the medallion. It is a SUPPLE and SOFT leather. A brut leather in a very dark chocolate color. The leather has a rough tough side contrasting with the medallion to let the teal turquoise shine. The leather has a matte finish and raw edges. It is between 2″ and 3″ wide. Its individual shape is adapted to the medallion, wider in the middle… And to the wrist, tapered on the sides.. Furthermore it does not take 10 people or a fight to close it. It is ultra simple with the round “bead”. The 2 holes in the leather band are placed at 6 3/4″ and 7.5″ to fit a small wrist, around 5 3/4, and a medium wrist. Custom measure leather bands can be made upon request. Because the sterling silver and turquoise medallion is a unique piece of jewelry all by itself, it CAN EASILY BE REMOVED..
