What emerges is this big rocky rough mountain rock, so natural, a piece of the desert mounted in jewelry… The steer skull, a symbol here in New Mexico, of the Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu with Georgia O’Keeffe… Her paintings of the incomparable scenery.. Then, captivated, by the beauty of the whole piece, each part becomes distinct. Above the very large 3″ long and 2″ high turquoise, the very Royston style stone warms up the scene with its golden matrix. It shines seven wonderful turquoise, each with its own green character. From the smallest pale pastel green pea, to the real dark green polished triangular three dimensional turquoise… And a polished smooth version of the very large one.. This is far from being finished… The refined skull all in details, with etched horns and precise details, holds the turquoise treasure scenery… And has, maybe the most precious turquoise, dangling. The final stone is a refined 2 long stunning cabochon. Like the 2 sides of something, anything… There is a green half turning to gold on the other side.
